Merrell has made no compromises when it came to making shoes. The team combined the technology of cowboy boots with the manufacturing process of Italian shoemaker tradition. The 1/4 inch heel cup made the shoes last ten years. The Wilderness Leather Boot with its distinctive blue laces, one of the first Merrell models, is still in the range today.

In 1983, the first Merrell products were marketed. In the same year we introduced our first hiking boots for women. Our comfort technology QForm® has been specially designed for the unique profile, bones and gait of women for even greater comfort and functionality.
